Ecosystems thrive on new ways of thinking, and an influx of talented women are leading a wave of change when it comes to digital innovation in Canada. Together with partners Deloitte Canada and the Canadian Blockchain Consortium, the Canadian Blockchain Association for Women is hosting a creative pitch competition for female-led technology projects at this year’s Toronto Blockchain Week. Ranging from digital assets and enterprise blockchain applications to other STEM-field innovations and exponential technologies, this ground-breaking event shines a spotlight on the incredible value that the technology industry is gaining by working to close the gender gap. Equality is more than just about fairness and inclusion – it makes companies more profitable, productive and embraces a vibrant culture that attracts and retains top talent.
A cash prize will be awarded to the winner. A panel of industry leaders will judge competitors on their ideas, presentation and market viability, with 50% of the final decision resting on the votes of the audience.
